Dear Sweetwater Zen Center Members and Friends,
After celebrating our 25th anniversary this year, and navigating a transition of leadership, we want to thank you as members of this community for enabling SWZC to offer a spiritual refuge here in the South Bay.
There’s been a lot of positive change at SWZC this year— Chowa Sensei has stepped into the role of Abbot with vigor and vision; half of our residency has turned over, welcoming lots of new residents with enthusiastic energy; our membership is growing considerably, and lots more. As we navigate this period of growth, we hope you will consider supporting this year’s fundraiser, and be a part of that growth.
SWZC is nothing but the manifestation of its members’ vision and contribution. Please support our practice of Collective Awakening and consider helping us reach our goal. This year’s fundraising goal is $15,000, and we’ve already raised over $9,500 this year, so we’re well on our way!!
Your generosity will help support various SWZC initiatives and programs such as expanding staff and scholarship opportunities, inviting special guest speakers, extending SWZC’s outreach efforts, and the continuous updates to our facilities and grounds.
