Lojong, or “raising Bodhicitta,” is an ancient Tibetan Buddhist practice of contemplating and living with brief slogans to cultivate compassion, loving-kindness, and insight. For example, “Turn all mishaps into the path.” What does this awaken in you? How does it apply to your life?
We’ll be using 59 of these slogans, adapted to Zen by Zoketsu Norman Fischer, to create our own advent-calendar-like compassion practice boards. Materials will be provided for those who make it out to the Zendo, and online participation is welcome as well.
