We’re beyond excited to hear from Helen Tworkov in our Zendo. Helen founded Tricycle: The Buddhist Review, bringing Buddhist thought and practice into mainstream America.

Details

The talk will begin at 11am, but please join us beforehand for the Gate of Sweet Nectar Service. Opportunities to talk with a Sweetwater Dharma teacher will be available during Zazen, and we'll offer our Intro to Meditation Class at 10am.

Besides founding Tricycle, Helen Tworkov has published numerous books, including her latest, "Lotus Girl: My Life at the Crossroads of Buddhism and America."

We’re able to host Helen, who is a huge advocate for female empowerment in Buddhism, thanks to a grant from The Frederick P. Lenz Foundation for American Buddhism in support of female and non-binary Buddhist leadership.
