To study the Buddha way is to study the self.
To study the self is to forget the self.
To forget the self is to be enlightened by all things.

Non-violent Communication

From Non-violent communication
by Marshall Rosenberg

Honestly expressing:

  1. How I am without blaming or criticizing.
    Separate observation from evaluation.

The concrete actions I am observing (seeing, hearing, remembering, imagining) that are contributing (or not contributing) to my well-being:

    "When I (see, hear)..."

  2. How I am feeling in relation to these actions :

    "I feel..."

  3. The life energy in the form of needs, values, desires,
expectations or thoughts that are creating my feelings:

    "because I am (needing)..."

  4. Clearly requesting that which would enrich my life without demanding

The concrete actions I would like taken:

"and I would like you to...."
