Mandala is Sanskrit for circle, polygon, community, connection.

The mandala appears in all aspects of life: the celestial circles of earth, sun, and moon, as well as conceptual circles of friends, family, and community. It represents wholeness, and can be seen as a model for the organizational structure of life itself--a diagram that reminds us of our relation to the infinite, the world that extends both beyond and within our bodies and minds. The Mandala symbolizes the pure, perfected universe, and provides a visual framework for establishing feelings of peace, well-being and wholeness. Composed of millions of grains of dyed sand, the mandala is believed to have a positive effect on all who see it as each particle personifies goodness.

Fire Ceremony

Preparing for the Fire Ceremony we write down the things that we want to let go of from the passing year. We also write down the things that we would like to invite into our lives in the coming year. This can be done with words or pictures or burnable objects. On New Year's eve we will share together and then burn our offerings. If you cannot attend the ceremony we will burn your wishes for release and new intentions.
