To study the Buddha way is to study the self.
To study the self is to forget the self.
To forget the self is to be enlightened by all things.
~Dogen Zenji
Once a month (close to the full moon) we do a Day of Reflection which is an adaptation of the ancient Fusatsu or renewing of vows ceremony. We start the day of reflection by chanting the precepts and resolving to focus on one precept for the day. In the evening we do a modified Fusatsu ceremony including a circle. During the circle we have a chance to share our experience and insight that came with the day of reflection.
